EPA Development Officer
Remuneration Package:

Summary and Main Purpose:
Developing assessment instruments and materials in line with the requirements of the assessment plans.
Project managing allocated developments to ensure readiness to assess by set deadlines. Supporting the EPA
Development Manager to manage and review a portfolio of EPA assessments.
Key Accountabilities:
- Project managing allocated assessments to ensure all instruments and documents are delivered on time.
- Ensuring accuracy and compliance of all instruments and documents.
- Adhering to the qualification development processes, policies and procedures, having due regard to internal and external compliance.
- Liaising with subject matter experts ensuring that deadlines are met and managing and monitoring outcomes to ensure validity and credibility of work produced.
- Ensure assessments are fit for purpose through evaluation and testing processes.
- Carry out periodic reviews of assessments to ensure validity and continuous improvement.
- Liaising with internal teams to implement assessments including participation in meetings and standardisation as required.
- Support with EQA audits and technical evaluations.
Maintain good understanding of Ofqual conditions, EQA framework, assessment plans and other regulations relating to the development of assessments.
Monitor and manage risks associated with the development of assessments and escalate to Qualification Development Manager.
Respond to internal and external queries regarding assessment instruments and guidance.
Carry out period reviews of assessment instruments and guidance documents, following the review process and procedure.
Monitor any actual or perceived conflicts of interest, including in relation to the independence of assessment design and development, escalating any concerns to the EPA Development Manager.
Investigate and follow up on any queries or concerns relating to assessment instruments and guidance documents in a timely manner.
Maintain knowledge on sector developments through liaising with subject matter experts and attending any relevant meetings or events.
- Contribute to the planning of developments, supporting the EPA Development Manager with the EPA Development Plan and priorities.
- Developing and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support the development of assessments.
- Uphold and promote organisational policies and procedures, promoting those specifically applicable to this area of work and also including the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion policy.
- Any other duties reasonably requested by the EPA Development Manager.
Qualifications:
- GCSE level grade C or above including Maths and English (or equivalent)
- Education to at least A Level or equivalent
Experience:
- Experience of managing projects, ensuring products are delivered on time and within budget
- Experience of developing valid and reliable assessments
- Experience of stakeholder engagement and management
Skills and Knowledge:
- Competent in the use of IT packages including Microsoft Office, digital assessment tools and web conferencing systems
- Ability to manage internal and external stakeholders
- Good communication and presentation skills, oral and written
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism to protect the integrity of assessments
- Ability to work accurately with excellent attention to detail
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work within specified SLAs and deadlines to ensure completion of multiple projects
- Ability to work independently and manage own workload
