Remit Training is delighted to be recruiting for a Business Development Manager (within our sales team) to deliver starts aligned with our overall growth strategy.

We are looking for a highly driven, successful salesperson, with a track record within apprenticeships and partnering with levy clients.

To be shortlisted for this role you will need to have these important qualities:

• Proficient in aligning products with customer business objectives

• Strategic thinker capable of simplifying complex propositions for pitches

You will have to confidently gain access to the key decision makers and influencers, also being aware of and promoting our other products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver starts targets aligned with our overall growth strategy

• Mobilise new business opportunities and ensure a smooth transition over to the Key Account team

• Contribute to the development of the marketing strategy for new employers, supporting plans for growth and maximising income from Levy-paying employers and strategic employer partners

• Conduct targeted outreach campaigns utilising Linkedin, cold-calling, networking, Email marketing, and follow-up strategies to engage with B2B leads and website, ensuring a consistent pipeline of opportunities for business growth

• Mobilise new business opportunities and ensure a smooth transition over to the Key Account or Serviced Account team

• Proactively pursue leads and new opportunities with new target clients, developing strong propositions, and exceptional relationships at all levels and communicating our growing service offering (both funded and commercial) across all key sectors

• Establish and maintain our reputation as a customer focussed provider by building strong relationship with employers and other key stakeholders such as public sector bodies and referral partners

• To lead on employer levy pitches, with the support of the wider team

Experience:

• Excellent written and spoken communication skills with the ability to present at a senior level; fully computer literate and numerate

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Sales role; achieving and exceeding targets within the apprenticeship sector

• A proven track record in delivering results through building trust and relationships with other companies

• Experience of undertaking travel, meeting existing and prospective clients, and attending networking events

• Experience of presenting ideas, in a consultative manner at the highest executive level

• Experience in development and implementation of strategic solutions

• Demonstrable experience of developing deep insight into prospective customers’ strategic growth plans – relating findings to our own product and service offering
