Temporary Learning Support Coach for Maternity Cover (14 months)

Location: Hybrid

Remuneration Package:

  • Competitive basic salary including a car allowance

Summary and Main Purpose:

  • To work alongside learners with specific LDDs and challenges to help and aid positive progression in the desired specialism of choice
  • To work with tutors and trainers to create positive and supportive development plans for learners with SEN
  • To engage and encourage learners I the classroom setting by offering strategies and techniques to learning barriers.
  • To support, encourage and offer guidance to learners to enable them to recognise and achieve their aspirations and goals.
  • To deliver effective teaching, learning and support to learners for qualifications.
  • Motivate, enable, inspire, and support learners to achieve their goals through outstanding teaching, learning, and sharing of knowledge.
  • To monitor and evidence progression against targets to meet the learners’ individual needs.
  • To explain and deliver the Learner Impact Goals and KPI’s to your caseload of learners.
  • Communicate effectively to provide regular advice, guidance, support, and information to learners.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Deliver creative learning in a diverse, engaging, and inclusive manner to acknowledge and meet the needs of all learners.
  • Evaluate and evidence learners’ progression in a transparent way to assist and encourage goals to be met or exceeded.
  • Create and manage individual support plans reflecting results of individual and diagnostic assessments.
  • Offer pastoral support and guidance to learners as required to encourage achievement of their goals.
  • Facilitate and deliver teaching and learning that encourages accelerated and autonomous learning in a supported environment.
  • Strive to deliver a consistently high standard of performance against Learner Impact Goals and KPI’s.
  • Engage, coach, and communicate effectively with the learners’ employer/mentor to ensure provision of adequate support and necessary guidance during the working day. Actively encourage the reporting of any issues and queries relating to the welfare of the learner.
  • Develop learning resources and utilise the FUSE platform to support the learning process.
  • Provide completion of detailed and comprehensive documentation to evidence the requirement for Learning Support Funding.
  • Engage in CPD activities to enhance knowledge and skills.

Key Requirements:

  • Educated to GCSE level grade C or above including Maths & English (or equivalent)
  • Functional Skills Level 2 in English and Maths

Experience:

  • Experience in development of delivery/curriculum materials
  • Experience of delivering training with a caring and compassionate attitude and being a good listener
  • Prior knowledge of the SEN provision
  • Leadership/Management Caseload management experience

Skills and Knowledge:

  • SEN / LDD knowledge
  • Knowledge of Government Funded training
  • Good communication and presentation skills, oral and written
  • Current knowledge of industry requirements and challenges
  • Able to work with minimum supervision, under pressure and implement time management skills to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to influence change
  • Have a flexible approach to working hours and locations
  • Full valid driving licence
