About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and creative Junior Creative Learning Developer to join our curriculum and content team. You will work closely with the Creative Design Team Leader to design, develop, and deploy engaging digital learning experiences for a range of programmes, including work-based apprenticeships (Level 2–5) and commercial courses.

Using tools such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, Adobe Creative Suite, Synthesia AI, and other emerging technologies, you will help transform learning objectives into interactive, visually appealing, and effective e-learning content. You will also support our LMS & Content Assurance Lead with content deployment and maintenance within our Learning Management Systems (LMS).

This role is a hands-on content creator position—ideal for someone looking to develop expertise in e-learning design, AI-powered content, and digital multimedia learning development.

Key Responsibilities

Creative Content Development

  • Design and develop high-quality interactive and engaging e-learning modules and supporting curriculum materials.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy and engagement.
  • Produce multimedia assets, including videos, graphics, animations, and AI-generated content using Synthesia and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Follow established design standards and templates to ensure consistency and quality.

LMS Management

  • Assist the LMS & Content Assurance Lead in uploading, configuring, and maintaining e-learning content within the Learning
  • Management System.
  • Support with content quality checks to ensure modules meet accessibility, brand, and instructional design standards.
  • Contribute to identify opportunities for improving LMS functionality and user experience, including testing new features and supporting their implementation.
  • Collaborate with the Lead to troubleshoot content delivery issues and implement improvements.

Collaboration and Teamwork

  • Work as part of the creative design team to deliver projects on time and to high standards.
  • Contribute to team knowledge sharing, best practices, and the ongoing improvement of content development processes.
  • Support the creation and reuse of templates, assets, and interactive components.

Innovation and Continuous Learning

  • Stay up to date with new e-learning trends, emerging tools, and AI technologies to enhance learning experiences.
  • Assist in developing proof-of-concepts for innovative content formats or interactions.
  • Take initiative to learn and apply new tools and techniques in your content development work.

Quality and Compliance

  • Ensure all content aligns with brand, accessibility, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain high standards for content design, clarity, and learner engagement.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Experience designing educational or training content for Level 2–5 qualifications, or equivalent.
  • Proficient with e-learning authoring tools (Articulate Storyline, Rise) and multimedia software (Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Familiarity with AI tools for learning design (e.g., Synthesia, generative AI for content creation).
  • Basic understanding of curriculum design principles and instructional design methodologies.
  • Experience working with LMS platforms to deploy and track e-learning content.
  • Knowledge of FE and Skills sector or experience in workplace learning/training is desirable but not essential.
  • Relevant qualification in education, instructional design, digital media, or a related field is preferred.
  • GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above in English and Maths, or equivalent qualifications, such as a Level 2 Functional Skills qualification.

  • Senior Creative Learning Developer: Take on more complex e-learning projects and lead major programme content development, contribute to curriculum strategy, mentor junior colleagues, and work closely with the LMS & Content Assurance Lead on process improvements and innovative learning solutions.
  • Curriculum Writer / Instructional Designer: Expand into writing and designing curriculum content across multiple programmes, shaping learning objectives, assessments, and interactive learning experiences.
  • Specialist Roles: Opportunities to specialise in highly technical areas such as videography, graphic design, animation, motion graphics, 3D modelling, and advanced multimedia production, developing cutting-edge content for immersive and engaging learner experiences.
  • Progression is supported through mentorship, structured skills development, and exposure to advanced e-learning and curriculum design projects.
