Job Title: Regional Manager

Reports to: Business Unit Director

Remuneration Package:

Location: Remote/Hybrid

Summary and Main Purpose:

To lead, motivate and develop a team of DC’s to deliver a craft Apprenticeship Programme. All activities should continually meet the needs of Employers, Learners, and Inspectorates such as Ofsted and Government funding agencies. These activities should ensure the commercial viability of the apprentice is demonstrated as a result of new competencies being applied in the workplace.

Working with individuals at a similar level within the following areas:

• Key industry stakeholders

• Key suppliers

• The relevant funding body

• The relevant inspection body

• Relevant sub-contract stakeholders

Key Accountabilities:

• Build and maintain independent relationships to ensure full engagement and commitment to both the apprentice and the programme

• Plan and manage human and physical resources required to deliver the programme requirements

• Support and manage the DC team to research and deliver high-quality learning ensuring new competencies are applied in the workplace and that the commercial viability of the apprentice can be demonstrated

• Work with key stakeholders to evaluate and modify training and development solutions as a result of delegate satisfaction and key stakeholder feedback

• Manage team activities to maximise the retention of learners and ensure qualifications are achieved within the given timescales

• Work within Company guidelines ensuring all activities are aligned to current best practice

• Ensure the required level of Health & Safety checks during review visits are conducted, ensuring necessary guidance and support is given to line managers

• Implement, and monitor administration processes to ensure effective and efficient operation of the Programme

• Regularly review and develop the team’s performance through the Performance Development Review process

• Drive KPIs and Balance Scorecards to optimise the service the clients and learners receive

• Recruit new team members using the recommended recruitment process

• Having a good understanding of the apprenticeship sector

• Support the delivery of the three-year strategic growth plan

• Continue to develop a network of industry contacts to understand views and perceptions of major businesses in the industry on specific issues that may affect us

• Any other duties reasonably requested by the line manager

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

  • Educated to GCSE level grade C or above including Maths & English (or equivalent)
  • Relevant occupational qualification or experience of management delivering apprenticeships
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of Government Funded Apprenticeships/Training
  • Good communication and presentation skills, oral and written
  • Good general IT awareness
  • Time Management skills with the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Must be able to work with the minimum of supervision
  • An ability to motivate and support staff working with challenging learner groups
  • Proven track record to influence people
  • Experience of writing reports
  • Ability to travel to locations throughout the UK as required
  • Full valid driving licence
  • Overnight stays as required

  • Assessor Award
  • Relevant occupational sector experience, and/or current updated CPD
